The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Shayne Witherspoon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emilio Vogt's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. In the 7th minute Ernest Herbert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shayne Witherspoon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Reginald Gold managed to get in a good position for a shot. Canoga Park FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Reginald Gold was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Shayne Witherspoon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 20 minutes of play, Raritan's Boyd Santana made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Osvaldo Chinto was left in no man's land by his defense there! Osvaldo Chinto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zane Irvin, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. The supporters of Raritan booed when Canoga Park FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Terence Parsons didn't get a good kick on the ball. Canoga Park FC's Osvaldo Chinto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boyd Santana in the 28th minute of play. Terence Parsons struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Shayne Witherspoon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Canoga Park FC. In the 38th match minute, Raritan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brad Ames to maneuver through the defense. If Boyd Santana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Osvaldo Chinto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Theo Gallegos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Raritan booed when Canoga Park FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Terence Parsons didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Boyd Santana in the 52ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Osvaldo Chinto, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Canoga Park FC's goalkeeper Osvaldo Chinto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Terence Parsons sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Shayne Witherspoon came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Canoga Park FC's Emilio Vogt. But to his dismay, Emilio Vogt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Raritan's goalkeeper Shayne Witherspoon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Noah Reece received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Osvaldo Chinto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Boyd Santanas short, quick shot in the 72ndth minute got Osvaldo Chinto to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Noah Reece fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvaldo Chinto having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, Raritan's goal looked a bit too open when Emilio Vogt came free, but Shayne Witherspoon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Palmer Cole took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 96th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Osvaldo Chinto. Canoga Park FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Canoga Park FC were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Raritan to leave the ground with a draw.
