In the 5th minute, Reed Eckert got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ethan Rutherford fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vince Durham having to interfere. If Donnie Rhodes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfredo Whitley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donnie Rhodes, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Ali Mathis's late challenge caught a Mount Josh's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ali Mathis helped the player get up and apologised. After 15 played minutes Fostoria AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ali Mathis. Alfredo Whitley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donnie Rhodes in the 16th minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Mount Josh's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ethan Rutherford fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. A collision led to Fostoria AFC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Michael Cadena hit a great ball. If Reed Eckert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vince Durham stood somewhat misplaced when Stanton Ransom came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 34 minute. When Chuck Bell fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mount Josh's protests and gave Chuck Bell a yellow card for diving instead. In the 40th match minute, Mount Josh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chuck Bell to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Stanton Ransom managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fostoria AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Stanton Ransom was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vince Durham breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Reed Eckert stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alfredo Whitley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reed Eckert in the 56th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the match, Mount Josh's goal looked a bit too open when Ethan Rutherford came free, but Vince Durham reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Donnie Rhodes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Fostoria AFC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Michael Cadena hit a great ball. Ali Mathis got his second yellow card in the match during the 63rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After recieving a nice pass, Mount Josh's Armando Putnam tried to score from far away in the 64th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Reed Eckert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Micah Cooke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Alfredo Whitley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Quincy Holliday's late challenge caught a Mount Josh's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Quincy Holliday helped the player get up and apologised. Quincy Holliday kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. A collision led to Fostoria AFC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Quincy Holliday hit a great ball. Quincy Holliday sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute of the match, Donnie Rhodes got a very nice opportunity to score, but Alfredo Whitley was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 94 minutes into the game, Stanton Ransom was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fostoria AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mount Josh the free kick. After a rather tough play, Fostoria AFC's Stanton Ransom got a free kick in the 94th minute. Fostoria AFC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Mount Josh for a fine match.
