The crowd rose to their feet as Rusty Reeves kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Boyd Ludwig. That made the score 1-0 in the 25 minute of play. Boyd Ludwig made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elijah McCall in the 29th minute. A hard shot 31 in the game by Elijah McCall from a close distance when the talented Boyd Ludwig managed to make a qualified save. Berwick AFC's players were relieved. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Elijah McCall was the one to do the kick off. Boyd Ludwig didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elijah McCall went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Elijah McCall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boyd Ludwig having to interfere. Boyd Ludwig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdul Pearson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Dante Gill's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Quentin Spivey was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. In the 75th minute, Berwick AFC's Art Pulliam ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Quentin Spivey. Quentin Spivey yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Berwick AFC's Boyd Ludwig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rusty Reeves in the 78th minute of play. Boyd Ludwig showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elijah McCall in the 79th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute, Berwick AFC's Eliseo Forrest dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. 86 minutes into the match, Berwick AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Elijah McCall came free, but Boyd Ludwig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
