In the 9th match minute, Malakas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Neil Pierre to maneuver through the defense. If Blaine Tyler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Landon Puckett made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lenny Walter in the 15th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Romeo Snyder during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Sanluz FC's Romeo Snyder got a free kick in the 20th minute. Leo Wilburn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Dudley Davila came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Malakas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dudley Davila couldn't finish the play. After 40 played minutes, Malakas FC's Grady Snider shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Anson Dow came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Malakas FC reached it. Anson Dow stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Neil Pierre's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Leo Wilburn's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Landon Puckett read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Neil Pierre made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Blaine Tyler managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Malakas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Blaine Tyler was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Malakas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sanluz FC the free kick. In the 66th match minute, Malakas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leon Bouchard to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Malakas FC booed when Sanluz FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lenny Walter didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Sanluz FC's Blake Moon tried to score from far away in the 69th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Grady Snider hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Wilburn in the 75th minute of play forced Malakas FC's goalkeeper Landon Puckett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Lenny Walter put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Landon Puckett. Lenny Walter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd minute, Leo Wilburn left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sanluz FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Romeo Snyder hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Landon Puckett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leo Wilburn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
