Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when John Goodson took the kick off in the first half of the match. Esteban Carter stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of John Goodson's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. The supporters of Dogs FC booed when Port Aransas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sid Brunson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute, Thomas Archer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thomas Archer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that John Goodson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Esteban Carter was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. A collision led to Dogs FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Elliott Cameron hit a great ball. Dogs FC's Esteban Carter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raymundo Baird in the 30th minute of play. If Raymundo Baird had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ryan Garcia kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Thomas Archer made the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Sid Brunson put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Esteban Carter. If John Goodson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Josef Gilbert managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dogs FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Josef Gilbert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Al Carson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 74 played minutes Port Aransas FC got a freekick which was hit by Wyatt Hodges. In the 74th minute of the match Derek Hurst sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Al Carson skillfully saved the ball. After 76 minutes, Sid Brunson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Port Aransas FC and the Dogs FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dogs FC's Derek Hurst couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 77th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Port Aransas FC. John Goodson might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Esteban Carter. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. John Goodson ran back to his position shaking his head. Marc Mathis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 90 minutes into the match, Dogs FC's goal looked a bit too open when John Goodson came free, but Esteban Carter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Derek Hurst hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Raymundo Baird blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Esteban Carter having to make a save. Port Aransas FC's John Goodson got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 97 minutes into the game, John Goodson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Esteban Carter. John Goodson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. The Port Aransas FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Port Aransas FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
