Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Kareem Matthews made the kick off and thus started the match. Thad Britton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brady Flynn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thad Britton didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nick Corbin went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Kareem Matthews fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Von Woodson having to interfere. Thad Britton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vincenzo Hicks in the 18th minute of the match. Defiance FC's Thad Britton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nick Corbin in the 21st minute of play. Thad Britton came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Nene Fc's Nick Corbin. But to his dismay, Nick Corbin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Stanley Goldstein charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Stanley Goldstein the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 31 played minutes Defiance FC got a freekick which was hit by Stanley Goldstein. If Nick Corbin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Defiance FC's Thad Britton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nick Corbin in the 35th minute of play. Thad Britton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vincenzo Hicks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 37 minutes into the match, Defiance FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vincenzo Hicks came free, but Thad Britton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thad Britton came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Nene Fc's Vincenzo Hicks. But to his dismay, Vincenzo Hicks quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Defiance FC's Gary Chappelle quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Jason Stratton, made in the 40th minute of the game. If Nick Corbin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute, Defiance FC's Kareem Matthews ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Von Woodson. Von Woodson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Brady Flynn made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Defiance FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vincenzo Hicks came free, but Thad Britton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Defiance FC's Thad Britton proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Defiance FC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Nene Fc booed when Defiance FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stanley Goldstein didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Defiance FC's zone, Cobi Talbot stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thad Britton came out of the goal and Cobi Talbot tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 63 minutes, Kareem Matthews made it 2-4 with a short kick to the right side. Nene Fc's Von Woodson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Defiance FC defense, Nick Corbin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thad Britton. The Defiance FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thad Britton should have stopped the shot. In the 78th minute Brady Flynn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thad Britton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 81 minutes, Vincenzo Hicks mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nene Fc and the Defiance FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Nene Fc getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Vincenzo Hicks hit a great ball. 86 minutes into the game, Tom Atwood was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nene Fc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Defiance FC the free kick. Tom Atwood kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. 89 minutes into the match, Gary Chappelle notched a goal, 3-6, to the right of Nene Fc's Von Woodson. Von Woodson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Defiance FC's Thad Britton got control of the ball when Nick Corbin tried to sneak it across the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Nene Fc walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
