Maurice Felton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Blackwell having to interfere. Angelo Easley kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 15th minute Maurice Felton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgar Blackwell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Willard Landrum kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. A hard shot 20 in the game by Milan Hurley from a close distance when the talented Edgar Blackwell managed to make a qualified save. Bay Minette's players were relieved. If Milan Hurley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurice Felton in the 27th minute of play forced Bay Minette's goalkeeper Edgar Blackwell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maurice Felton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Milan Hurley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Blackwell having to interfere. 1-0 became the score in the 40th minute when Maurice Felton elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Angelo Easley took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 44th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ramon Hargrove. PURDUE's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Bay Minette's Dante Santos got a free kick in the 46th minute. After 48 played minutes Bay Minette got a freekick which was hit by Dante Santos. Edgar Blackwell was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 49th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Austin Melendez. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gerardo Begay was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match Abdul Numbers sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edgar Blackwell skillfully saved the ball. In the 54th match minute, Bay Minette was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norberto Mendez to maneuver through the defense. In the 55th minute, Maurice Felton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Maurice Felton struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Edgar Blackwell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PURDUE. Edgar Blackwell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Milan Hurley in the 59th minute of the match. If Maurice Felton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgar Blackwell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurice Felton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Bay Minette's Norberto Mendez got a free kick in the 69th minute. Milan Hurley struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Edgar Blackwell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PURDUE. Maurice Felton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Blackwell having to interfere. In the 76thth minute of the game Maurice Felton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bay Minette's Edgar Blackwell was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Bay Minette getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Dante Santos hit a great ball. 87 minutes into the game, PURDUE's Maurice Felton nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edgar Blackwell made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. PURDUE's Maurice Felton got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. PURDUE's Milan Hurley got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. PURDUE had played much better football throughout.
