With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tad Dodson in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alan Land saved Lions of Quenns from getting behind. 10 minutes into the match, Tad Dodson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alan Land. Lions of Quenns's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tad Dodson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Tad Dodson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alan Land made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Derick Langford in the 16th minute of play. After 23 played minutes Carbondale FC got a freekick which was hit by Keenan Barth. After having played for 24 minutes, Roderick Chappelle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lions of Quenns's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roderick Chappelle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lions of Quenns's Alan Land played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tad Dodson in the 28th minute of play. Carbondale FC's Bobbie Briggs couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 31st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Lions of Quenns. Alan Land made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Derick Langford in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th match minute, Lions of Quenns was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emerson Goldberg to maneuver through the defense. After 36 played minutes, Carbondale FC's Bobbie Briggs shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alan Land came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Carbondale FC reached it. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Tad Dodson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carbondale FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tad Dodson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alan Land breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tad Dodson in the 45th minute of play forced Lions of Quenns's goalkeeper Alan Land to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Lions of Quenns players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Carbondale FC were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roderick Chappelle made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Tad Dodson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alan Land was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Jeremiah Foster fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kenneth Joyner having to interfere. Dylan Hetfield's late challenge caught a Lions of Quenns's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alan Land showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tad Dodson in the 80th minute of the match. Derick Langford recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Tad Dodson came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Carbondale FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tad Dodson couldn't finish the play. Derick Langford recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 91stth minute of the game Tad Dodson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lions of Quenns's Alan Land was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Derick Langford had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lions of Quenns's defense didn't have a chance, in the 96th minute, when Tad Dodson scored to the left of an out of position Alan Land, making the score, 0-3.
