The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 51st minute Keenan Barth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lloyd Spence saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lloyd Spence took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richie Yeager, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Freddy Stone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 61stth minute of the game Freddy Stone who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Carbondale FC's Kenneth Joyner was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 62 minutes into the game, one of Citizens FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Carbondale FC's Kenneth Joyner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Freddy Stone in the 67th minute of play. After 69th play minutes Freddy Stone shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Kenneth Joyner and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 80thth minute of the game Freddy Stone who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Carbondale FC's Kenneth Joyner was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Santiago Kiser had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Citizens FC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Wilbur Miranda hit a great ball. Lloyd Spence acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 88th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Dylan Hetfield. After having played for 89 minutes, Freddy Stone managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Citizens FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Freddy Stone was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 92ndth minute of the game Tad Dodson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Citizens FC's Lloyd Spence was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 97th minute, Derick Langford ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lloyd Spence was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Citizens FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
