Vito Oberle stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rudolf Culver's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. bulldogs fc's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Thurman Todd in the 34th minute. The corner led bulldogs fc's Thurman Todd to fire away a dangerous shot which Vito Oberle despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 36th minute, Angelo Eubanks got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Brendon Sandoval's late challenge caught a bulldogs fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 40th match minute, bulldogs fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marlon Soto to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in bulldogs fc's zone, Guillermo Dietz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Terrence Murry came out of the goal and Guillermo Dietz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 47 minutes, A.J. Schulz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. bulldogs fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but A.J. Schulz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dexter Baez made a kick off. Rudolf Culver sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 58th minute, Angelo Eubanks ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Terrence Murry was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 60th minute, Arnoldo Crowley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Dexter Baez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th minute of the match, Rudolf Culver tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Vito Oberle saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 77th minute, Angelo Eubanks hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind 4th Republic USA's goalkeeper Vito Oberle, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Rudolf Culver managed to get in a good position for a shot. bulldogs fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Rudolf Culver was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vito Oberle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 84 minutes into the game, Angelo Eubanks was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. 4th Republic USA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave bulldogs fc the free kick.
