Through an outstanding action, after 24 minutes, Reynaldo Faulkner successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 29 minutes into the match, Gotham City FC's goalkeeper Reynaldo Faulkner had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Brady King. A collision led to Mobridge AFC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Collin Clinton hit a great ball. Gotham City FC's Wilfredo Clement couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Mobridge AFC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cason McNair in the 37th minute of play forced Gotham City FC's goalkeeper Reynaldo Faulkner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Albert Whitt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 40 minutes into the game, Mobridge AFC's Collin Clinton nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Albert Whitt made a kick off. Gotham City FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edmund Bernstein was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. In the 61st minute, Edmund Bernstein left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mobridge AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. There was no doubt that Mobridge AFC were the better team. Mobridge AFC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
