In the 16th match minute, Pottsgrove was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leon Gibbons to maneuver through the defense. Rufus Spicer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andre Madison's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. After 18 minutes of play Pottsgrove's Francis Willoughby was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 19 played minutes Pottsgrove got a freekick which was hit by Francis Willoughby. 25 minutes into the game, Paddock Lake FC's Andre Madison nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rufus Spicer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Jack Peters received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Paddock Lake FC's zone, Leon Gibbons stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Calvin Parham came out of the goal and Leon Gibbons tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pottsgrove's Rufus Spicer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jack Peters in the 36th minute of play. Rufus Spicer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jack Peters, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Rufus Spicer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jack Peters in the 60th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jack Peters in the 63rd minute of play forced Pottsgrove's goalkeeper Rufus Spicer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 69th minute, Santos Ladner left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pottsgrove fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Andre Madison could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Rufus Spicer made a huge save. With a little luck, Pottsgrove's Rufus Spicer got control of the ball when Andre Madison tried to sneak it across the goal line.
