Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Reynaldo Madden started the match with the kick off. Ernest Trevino might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Oliver Davies. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ernest Trevino ran back to his position shaking his head. If Abraham Pendleton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 11th match minute, Grenada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by James Pate to maneuver through the defense. Oliver Davies took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Randy Gallardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute of the match Elvis Driver sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Oliver Davies skillfully saved the ball. Abraham Pendleton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 18 played minutes Detroit Lakes got a freekick which was hit by Tracey Zimmer. Abraham Pendleton took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Oliver Davies. Oliver Davies dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Abraham Pendleton took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Oliver Davies. Grady Kelly came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Grenada's Pete Kaiser. But to his dismay, Pete Kaiser quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Grady Kelly showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reynaldo Madden, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Grenada's zone, Elijah Bowers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oliver Davies came out of the goal and Elijah Bowers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Detroit Lakes's defense didn't have a chance, in the 48th minute, when Chance Cole scored to the left of an out of position Grady Kelly, making the score, 2-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abraham Pendleton was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chance Cole in the 54th minute of play forced Detroit Lakes's goalkeeper Grady Kelly to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clay Reese took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Oliver Davies. Grenada's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Oliver Davies was out of position in the 57 minute of play, and Abraham Pendleton capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Abraham Pendleton really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. 61 minutes into the match, Reynaldo Madden had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Grady Kelly. Detroit Lakes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Reynaldo Madden was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abraham Pendleton in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oliver Davies saved Grenada from getting behind. In the 70th minute Chance Cole shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grady Kelly saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70th minute, Tracey Zimmer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 72nd match minute, Detroit Lakes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tracey Zimmer to maneuver through the defense. 76 minutes into the game, Grenada's Chance Cole nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Grady Kelly made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-3. Chance Cole took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Grady Kelly. Grady Kelly dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-3. If Elijah Bowers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reynaldo Madden charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Reynaldo Madden the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Reynaldo Madden hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Abraham Pendleton who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 89thth minute tested the skills of Oliver Davies when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Reynaldo Madden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 96 minutes into the match, Grenada's goalkeeper Oliver Davies had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abraham Pendleton. Grady Kelly showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pete Kaiser in the 97th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Grenada fans cheered their team off the field, for while Detroit Lakes had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
