Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Xavier Gobeo started the match with the kick off. Xavier Gobeo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 11th minute, Kenneth Russ got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 13 minutes, Stevie Reilly managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Heat Wave Sports's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stevie Reilly was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Salvador Chester's late challenge caught a Heat Wave Sports's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Salvador Chester helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Linden United getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Salvador Chester hit a great ball. Manuel Salter took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 22nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vincenzo Ross. Heat Wave Sports's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 22nd minute, J.P. Kirkland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Xavier Gobeo hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. J.P. Kirkland struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Rashad Jacob didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Heat Wave Sports. After having played for 31 minutes, Rudy Altman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Linden United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rudy Altman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rashad Jacob came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Heat Wave Sports's Stevie Reilly. But to his dismay, Stevie Reilly quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Stevie Reilly received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Rashad Jacob tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Xavier Gobeo put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Rashad Jacob. Linden United's Rashad Jacob played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xavier Gobeo in the 47th minute of play. Salvador Chester got his second yellow card in the match during the 47th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When Cliff Hawk fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Heat Wave Sports's protests and gave Cliff Hawk a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Linden United booed when Heat Wave Sports was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cliff Hawk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rene Barrow received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Vincenzo Ross tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Rashad Jacob managed to avoid a goal in the 69thth minute, when Heat Wave Sports's Xavier Gobeo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Thanks to some nice moves Stevie Reilly could shoot a difficult shot in the 72nd minute, which Rashad Jacob however easily saved by the left post. Xavier Gobeo had several of the Linden United's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 75 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-4 score and a disappointed Rashad Jacob as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 78th minute Rene Barrow shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vincenzo Ross saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Xavier Gobeo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Heat Wave Sports's supporters rose to their feet, but Xavier Gobeo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rashad Jacob breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 95th minute, Xavier Gobeo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rashad Jacob was out of position in the 98 minute of play, and Kenneth Russ capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kenneth Russ really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6.
