In the 18thth minute of the game Kristopher Hobbs who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but South Holland's Randy Trent was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ted Lund in the 21st minute of play forced South Holland's goalkeeper Randy Trent to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Damian Whaley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emmanuel Kilgore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Brady Barnett during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The wind increased when Ted Lund made the kick off in the second half. The South Holland fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Randy Trent should have stopped the shot. In the 67th minute, Kristopher Hobbs fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Brent Shields fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damian Whaley having to interfere. Emmanuel Kilgore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Damian Whaley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
