Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Timmy Sawyer got the match started through his kick off. In the 4th minute, Woodlands FC's Rory Adams dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. A collision led to Woodlands FC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Salvador Lyons hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Timmy Sawyer in the 14th minute of play forced Woodlands FC's goalkeeper Gerald Aldrich to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gerald Aldrich took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sergio Farrell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot by Toby Green from long distance, 23 minutes into the match, got Josh Elkins's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Josh Elkins made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rory Adams in the 24th minute. In the 26th minute of the match, Dustin Barnett tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Josh Elkins saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With his leg Josh Elkins managed to avoid a goal in the 31stth minute, when Woodlands FC's Rory Adams fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Josh Elkins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rory Adams, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Rory Adams received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Josh Elkins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rory Adams to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rory Adams in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Josh Elkins prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rory Adams sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 61st match minute, West Valley City FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charles Escobedo to maneuver through the defense. When Giuseppe Moses fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Woodlands FC's protests and gave Giuseppe Moses a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Woodlands FC's Giuseppe Moses got a free kick in the 66th minute. In the 70th minute, Dustin Barnett left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Woodlands FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 80th minute, Quinton Church hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 81 played minutes, Woodlands FC's Giuseppe Moses shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Josh Elkins came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Woodlands FC reached it. After a rather tough play, Woodlands FC's Salvador Lyons got a free kick in the 84th minute. Pedro Blanchard struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Josh Elkins didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Woodlands FC. 89 minutes into the match, West Valley City FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jeff Baird came free, but Josh Elkins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Enoch Kendall lost his temper 94 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 93rd minute of the game. One of Woodlands FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of West Valley City FC:s goal. Albert Crews shot the penalty kick right outside the post. When the referee ended the match the Woodlands FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
