Owen Baker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rory Adams in the 4th minute of the match. In the 11th minute, Miami Gators's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jeff Baird fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Blanchard in the 18th minute of play forced Miami Gators's goalkeeper Owen Baker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Merrill Justice sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th minute Milo Winn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerald Aldrich saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gerald Aldrich showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacob Knapp in the 27th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute Rory Adams shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Owen Baker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dustin Barnett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Owen Baker having to interfere. The supporters of Woodlands FC booed when Miami Gators was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bart Cartwright didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Rory Adams put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Owen Baker. Miami Gators's defense didn't have a chance, in the 41st minute, when Dean Rhodes scored to the left of an out of position Owen Baker, making the score, 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rory Adams to make the kick off. Woodlands FC's Gerald Aldrich played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacob Knapp in the 53rd minute of play. Owen Baker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rory Adams in the 56th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Miami Gators's Merrill Justice got a free kick in the 57th minute. After having played for 58 minutes, Jeff Baird managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Woodlands FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeff Baird was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Owen Baker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeff Baird in the 61st minute of play. Milo Winn's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gerald Aldrich firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a rather tough play, Woodlands FC's Dean Rhodes got a free kick in the 71st minute. If Jacob Knapp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Miami Gators's Owen Baker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rory Adams in the 85th minute of play. Milo Winn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Gerald Aldrich made a huge save. In the 92nd minute, Markus Harding hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Woodlands FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
