Taylor Boyer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maurice Gillespie, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Billy Maher's late challenge caught a Rosa Melano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Billy Maher helped the player get up and apologised. After 4 played minutes Hanamaulu FC got a freekick which was hit by Billy Maher. Alfred Coffman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego Willoughby, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. When Hanamaulu FC's Gregorio Mims in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rosa Melano's goalie prevented a goal. Hanamaulu FC's Gregorio Mims got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Junior Barnard got free with Taylor Boyer in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hanamaulu FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Maurice Gillespie 28 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. After 33 played minutes Hanamaulu FC got a freekick which was hit by Billy Maher. Junior Barnard could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Taylor Boyer made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Rosa Melano's Maurice Gillespie slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Taylor Boyer. That made the score 2-1 after 39 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurice Gillespie in the 44th minute of play forced Hanamaulu FC's goalkeeper Taylor Boyer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Taylor Boyer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurice Gillespie in the 45th minute of the match. Alfred Coffman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Willoughby in the 47th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

After having played for 53 minutes, Diego Willoughby managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hanamaulu FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diego Willoughby was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Diego Willoughby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Rosa Melano's Alfred Coffman got control of the ball when Gregorio Mims tried to sneak it across the goal line. 68 minutes into the game, Maurice Gillespie cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Taylor Boyer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Junior Barnard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Taylor Boyer having to interfere. In the 79th minute Maurice Gillespie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Taylor Boyer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 90 minutes in the game, Diego Willoughby fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Alfred Coffman having to interfere. Gregorio Mims sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 95 minutes into the game, Gregorio Mims was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hanamaulu FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rosa Melano the free kick. After 95 played minutes Hanamaulu FC got a freekick which was hit by Gregorio Mims. For all the effort they put into the match, the Hanamaulu FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Rosa Melano.
