Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Rex Levine made the kick off which started today's match. Sherman Abernathy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Thad Avery made a huge save. Cobi Brantley kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Anson AFC's Marcellus Paris suffered a concussion after 9 minutes and had to leave the field. Alex Barrow charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alex Barrow the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Armona's goalkeeper Emmitt Myers, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alex Barrow hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. 13 minutes into the match, Armona's goal looked a bit too open when Austin Dickens came free, but Emmitt Myers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Austin Dickens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emmitt Myers having to interfere. Thad Avery took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rex Levine, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th match minute, Anson AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charlton Whitney to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th minute Rex Levine shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thad Avery saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Armona booed when Anson AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ed Chung didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute, Ed Chung hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Armona's Fabian Whitehead tried to score from far away in the 33rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Thad Avery showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rex Levine in the 35th minute of the match. In the 42nd minute of the match Fabian Whitehead sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Thad Avery skillfully saved the ball. In the 45th minute, Otto Cagle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Austin Dickens stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rex Levine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Thad Avery tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thad Avery took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rex Levine, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 56 played minutes Anson AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ed Chung. Rex Levine kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Bryan Espinosa hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Rex Levine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Thad Avery tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 71 played minutes Anson AFC got a freekick which was hit by Otto Cagle. 72 minutes into the match, Anson AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Sherman Abernathy came free, but Thad Avery reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rex Levine might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thad Avery. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rex Levine ran back to his position shaking his head. Thad Avery showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rex Levine, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Sherman Abernathy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Sherman Abernathy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st minute Sherman Abernathy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thad Avery saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 82nd minute by Austin Dickens got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Rex Levine's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thad Avery read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. When Austin Dickens came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Anson AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Austin Dickens couldn't finish the play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Armona fans cheered their team off the field, for while Anson AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
