Albert Fink took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hayden Kitchen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 9th minute Hayden Kitchen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albert Fink saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, Lindenhurst Hurricanes's goalkeeper Albert Fink had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Peter Hufnagel. Peter Hufnagel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Albert Fink made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hayden Kitchen in the 18th minute of play. The supporters of Leaders FC booed when Lindenhurst Hurricanes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmed Stanton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ahmed Stanton kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Peter Hufnagel came free with the goalkeeper in the 24th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Albert Fink could save by the left post. Peter Hufnagel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albert Fink having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Leaders FC's Hayden Kitchen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Albert Fink narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hayden Kitchen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Peter Hufnagel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Albert Fink tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 36 minutes, Truman Bowen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lindenhurst Hurricanes and the Leaders FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 35 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Lindenhurst Hurricanes! Silas Sanford showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cason James in the 40th minute of the match. After 45 played minutes Lindenhurst Hurricanes got a freekick which was hit by Ahmed Stanton. Albert Fink made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Peter Hufnagel sent off a good shot on target. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hayden Kitchen was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute, Jefferson Collins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emmanuel Hollandsworth took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 57th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Silas Sanford. Leaders FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Albert Fink made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Hufnagel in the 58th minute of play. Peter Hufnagel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lindenhurst Hurricanes's Albert Fink played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peter Hufnagel in the 70th minute of play. After having played for 73 minutes, Peter Hufnagel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leaders FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Peter Hufnagel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hayden Kitchen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Silas Sanford showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cason James, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Roman De La Cruz's late challenge caught a Lindenhurst Hurricanes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roman De La Cruz helped the player get up and apologised. In the 83rd minute, Roman De La Cruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
