Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Wally Covington started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Colorado FC's goalkeeper William Nordkvist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Colorado FC's Duane Dunn got a free kick in the 3rd minute. In the 5th minute, Wally Covington got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. William Nordkvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rickie Bingham in the 14th minute. In the 18th minute Wally Covington shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yu Zhen Zhen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Lanús's goal looked a bit too open when Wally Covington came free, but Yu Zhen Zhen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 26 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Club Atlético Lanús! Yu Zhen Zhen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wally Covington, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes into the game, Ben Gould recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of William Nordkvist. Ben Gould showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Lucjan Wiatrak kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. A collision led to Club Atlético Lanús getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Carlos Baldwin hit a great ball.

If Marian Rekowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marian Rekowski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Colorado FC defense, Jerome Keyes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of William Nordkvist. The Colorado FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that William Nordkvist should have stopped the shot. Club Atlético Lanús's Dallas Huff was substituted for Matthew Zaragoza. Yu Zhen Zhen made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Wally Covington sent off a good shot on target. 74 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Lanús's goal looked a bit too open when Wally Covington came free, but Yu Zhen Zhen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th minute Jerome Keyes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but William Nordkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerome Keyes in the 78th minute of play forced Colorado FC's goalkeeper William Nordkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th minute Ben Gould shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but William Nordkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. William Nordkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rickie Bingham in the 85th minute of the match. Ben Gould received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. William Nordkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wally Covington struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Yu Zhen Zhen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Colorado FC. Colorado FC's William Nordkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rickie Bingham in the 96th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Club Atlético Lanús fans cheered their team off the field, for while Colorado FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
