In the 23rd minute, BEST FC's Stanley Gray dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. After a rather tough play, BEST FC's Stanley Gray got a free kick in the 27th minute. 29 minutes into the game, Bob Reagan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonas Siegel. Bob Reagan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Edgardo Bacon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Jonas Siegel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th minute Rui Marques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Monte Ledford saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Stanley Gray stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Stevie Peterson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 53rd minute, Rui Marques ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Monte Ledford was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Monte Ledford made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rui Marques in the 64th minute. Bogdan Harbaszewski hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Jonas Siegel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stanley Gray in the 69th minute of the match. 72 minutes into the match, BEST FC's goalkeeper Monte Ledford had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rui Marques. The supporters of Detroit AFC booed when BEST FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oswaldo Graham didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stevie Peterson took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Monte Ledford. Monte Ledford dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Stanley Gray sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Detroit AFC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Salvador Spicer hit a great ball. Salvador Spicer hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. If Bob Reagan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jarod Byrne kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Jonas Siegel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgardo Bacon, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Detroit AFC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
