Johnny Regan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marshall Hahn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anton Best fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johnny Regan having to interfere. Johnny Regan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marshall Hahn, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Marshall Hahn sped through Huestes de Excalibur's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Johnny Regan. Lonnie Blankenship didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Keith Gee went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Johnny Regan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marshall Hahn in the 23rd minute of play. If Cedric Scales had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 27 minutes into the match, Huestes de Excalibur's goal looked a bit too open when Marshall Hahn came free, but Johnny Regan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Johnny Regan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olaf Mojsiewicz, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. With a little luck, Colonie FC's Lonnie Blankenship got control of the ball when Keith Gee tried to sneak it across the goal line. Seth Bliss charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Seth Bliss the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Huestes de Excalibur's Seth Bliss got a free kick in the 38th minute. Huestes de Excalibur's Johnny Regan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anton Best in the 39th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Huestes de Excalibur's goal looked a bit too open when Anton Best came free, but Johnny Regan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lyle Dickerson kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. After 43 played minutes, Colonie FC's Preston Simons shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Johnny Regan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Colonie FC reached it. 45 minutes into the match, Huestes de Excalibur's goal looked a bit too open when Olaf Mojsiewicz came free, but Johnny Regan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute Olaf Mojsiewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johnny Regan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The audience was convinced that Keith Gee's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lonnie Blankenship was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Huestes de Excalibur's Chad Eldridge got a free kick in the 69th minute. In the 72nd match minute, Colonie FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marshall Hahn to maneuver through the defense. Huestes de Excalibur's Johnny Regan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marshall Hahn in the 74th minute of play. After 75 minutes of play Huestes de Excalibur's Seth Bliss was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Seth Bliss hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Anton Best could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Johnny Regan made a huge save. In the 87th minute, Donovan Corbin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lonnie Blankenship made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe McKee in the 91st minute of play. Randell Osborn kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The Huestes de Excalibur supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Colonie FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Colonie FC.
