But to his dismay, Jaime McClendon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Boyd Winkler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fred Kirkpatrick in the 17th minute of play. After 19 minutes Pueblo FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Davis Duff who took care of the corner kick. A very nice done corner allowed Sergey Krasinskiy to score against Boyd Winkler in Pueblo FC's goal. 1-1 after 19 minutes. A collision led to Pueblo FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Mohammed Flanagan hit a great ball. Rhys Dimmock made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerry Franco in the 28th minute of play. In the 29th minute Zack Grier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boyd Winkler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31st minute, Gerry Franco made a precise shot to the right of Rhys Dimmock. Zamalek FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. After a rather tough play, Pueblo FC's Aldo Singleton got a free kick in the 35th minute. Zamalek FC's Davis Duff shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 36th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Boyd Winkler but with some difficulty. Boyd Winkler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zack Grier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vern Wright to make the kick off. Boyd Winkler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zack Grier in the 58th minute of play. Rhys Dimmock made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Gerry Franco sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Pueblo FC booed when Zamalek FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elin Elin didn't get a good kick on the ball. 64 minutes into the match, Pueblo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fred Kirkpatrick came free, but Boyd Winkler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rhys Dimmock made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ari Willingham in the 65th minute. If Jaime McClendon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reese Otto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Boyd Winkler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ari Willingham in the 77th minute of play forced Zamalek FC's goalkeeper Rhys Dimmock to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Pueblo FC's Ari Willingham got a free kick in the 78th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zack Grier in the 84th minute of play forced Pueblo FC's goalkeeper Boyd Winkler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rhys Dimmock showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime McClendon, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Pueblo FC's Boyd Winkler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zack Grier in the 89th minute of play. Vern Wright scored 1-3 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rhys Dimmock, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Zamalek FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Pueblo FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Pueblo FC.
