Santos FC's Warren Ruiz quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lanny Gilmore in the 17th minute of play forced Dep. Moron's goalkeeper Mihkel Aksalu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lanny Gilmore in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mihkel Aksalu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aaron Smallwood showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gao Kun Ling in the 29th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Santos FC's zone, Nacho Hernández stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aaron Smallwood came out of the goal and Nacho Hernández tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mihkel Aksalu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lanny Gilmore in the 33rd minute of the match. Terence Nicholas made a great header on Santos FC's corner, it was just that Dep. Moron's Mihkel Aksalu managed to reach the ball for a save. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The audience was convinced that Gao Kun Ling's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aaron Smallwood was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Mihkel Aksalu made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Lanny Gilmore sent off a good shot on target. Moron's Merrill Hancock shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Aaron Smallwood came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Dep. Moron reached it. 庞乐钢 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aaron Smallwood having to interfere. Lanny Gilmore struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Mihkel Aksalu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santos FC. Aaron Smallwood came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Dep. Moron's Nacho Hernández. But to his dismay, Nacho Hernández quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Lanny Gilmore's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Mihkel Aksalu firmly grabbed it by the left post. Mike Richardson hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Bob Hart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aaron Smallwood having to interfere. Josepe Zabalo took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aaron Smallwood. Aaron Smallwood dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Lanny Gilmore could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Mihkel Aksalu made a huge save. Aaron Smallwood made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nacho Hernández in the 87th minute of play. Dep. Moron's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Merrill Hancock in the 88th minute.
