A collision led to Arima getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Francis Gopee-Scoon hit a great ball. Kieron Kernahan had in the 28thth minute some difficulties stopping Samuel Stalin's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sherwin Titus in the 29th minute of play forced Bamboo Village Stars's goalkeeper Mohammed Whitley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Arima's zone, Everald Savary stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kieron Kernahan came out of the goal and Everald Savary tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Everald Savary fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kieron Kernahan having to interfere. 65 minutes into the match, Bamboo Village Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Fitzgerald Scotland came free, but Mohammed Whitley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mohammed Whitley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fitzgerald Scotland in the 68th minute of play. Sherwin Titus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Mohammed Whitley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, Arthur Raymond Thomas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fitzgerald Scotland succeeded in the game's 77th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. In the 83rd minute Francis Gopee-Scoon suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lionel Baptiste during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 84 played minutes Bamboo Village Stars got a freekick which was hit by Lionel Baptiste. If Sherwin Titus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bamboo Village Stars's Mohammed Whitley proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Bamboo Village Stars from getting a goal against them. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bamboo Village Stars's goalkeeper Mohammed Whitley, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Arima eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
