Tishan Gooljar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Scott Sawh in the 5th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling George Maxwell Kallipersad in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gibran Peltier prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tibures del oriente's Gibran Peltier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by George Maxwell Kallipersad in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michael Glasgow in the 21st minute of play forced Tibures del oriente's goalkeeper Gibran Peltier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Simbhoonath Ames's late challenge caught a Tibures del oriente's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Simbhoonath Ames helped the player get up and apologised. Simbhoonath Ames hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Isaiah Joseph was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 34th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Mustapha Davidson lost his temper 47 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 47th minute, one of Tibures del oriente:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Tibures del oriente. Franklin Marshall walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and George Maxwell Kallipersad made a kick off. A collision led to Tibures del oriente getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Manny Mohammed hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lionel Assoon got free with Gibran Peltier in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Steve Walcott's late challenge caught a Black Rock SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Black Rock SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lionel Assoon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gibran Peltier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lionel Assoon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gibran Peltier read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. After 87 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Black Rock SC! After a defensive mix-up in Black Rock SC's zone, Solomon Latapy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tishan Gooljar came out of the goal and Solomon Latapy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
