Brighton SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave San Fernando Fire the free kick. After 12 played minutes Brighton SC got a freekick which was hit by Surujrattan Anwar. In the 13th minute of the match Kern Mohan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Neville Guiness skillfully saved the ball. Lendl Ramadhin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. San Fernando Fire's Roderick Moonilal got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gillian Armitage charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gillian Armitage the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of San Fernando Fire booed when Brighton SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gillian Armitage didn't get a good kick on the ball. San Fernando Fire's Roderick Moonilal got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 32 minutes, Gillian Armitage managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brighton SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gillian Armitage was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 37 minutes, Kevon Cummings made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Brighton SC's Neville Guiness tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Neville Guiness showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roderick Moonilal in the 41st minute of the match. Kevon Cummings sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lendl Ramadhin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lendl Ramadhin to make the kick off. Mohammed Rougier made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Lendl Ramadhin sent off a good shot on target. If Lendl Ramadhin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Brother Ros during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 76 played minutes San Fernando Fire got a freekick which was hit by Brother Ros. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Brighton SC's goalkeeper Neville Guiness, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Brighton SC's zone, Roderick Moonilal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Neville Guiness came out of the goal and Roderick Moonilal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 90 minutes, Lendl Ramadhin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brighton SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lendl Ramadhin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kevon Cummings fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Neville Guiness having to interfere. Roderick Moonilal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Neville Guiness read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. With a little luck, San Fernando Fire's Mohammed Rougier got control of the ball when Lendl Ramadhin tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Brighton SC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented San Fernando Fire from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
