Rubio Murgia hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Silvio Bueras fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramone Malave having to interfere. The supporters of Aguaity booed when Itanara AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vasco Piñero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aguaity's Adriana Idigoras couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 20th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Itanara AFC. 29 minutes into the match, Itanara AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Silvio Bueras came free, but Ramone Malave reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Itanara AFC's Rubio Murgia got a free kick in the 30th minute. Ranolfo Ovalle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roberto Modet stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ranolfo Ovalle's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Horado Najar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Ramone Malave made a huge save. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rosendo Riesco made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Aguaity's zone, Ranolfo Ovalle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roberto Modet came out of the goal and Ranolfo Ovalle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 54th minute Horado Najar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramone Malave saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 57 minutes, Horado Najar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aguaity's supporters crossed their fingers, but Horado Najar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Silvio Bueras took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ramone Malave. Ramone Malave dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Itanara AFC's Rosendo Riesco got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rosendo Riesco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roberto Modet having to interfere. 73 minutes in the game, Ranolfo Ovalle fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Roberto Modet having to interfere. Tirso Fuenmayor kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. After having played for 77 minutes, Horado Najar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
