Yajhape's Cordara Chavarria got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Itacora's goalkeeper Cesareo Barroiz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Inge Biñayo charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Inge Biñayo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Itacora booed when Yajhape was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inge Biñayo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rudolfo Alarcon kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Ibar Sanabre could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Zosimo Ojero made a huge save. Ibar Sanabre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 25th minute, Loramendi Abeyta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zosimo Ojero showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Cesareo Barroiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Loramendi Abeyta in the 33rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Itacora's Intxixu Ballejos got a free kick in the 37th minute. Loramendi Abeyta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th match minute, Itacora was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Intxixu Ballejos to maneuver through the defense. Cesareo Barroiz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cordara Chavarria, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ciano Costoya made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Itacora's goal looked a bit too open when Cordara Chavarria came free, but Cesareo Barroiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th minute, Cordara Chavarria got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 59th minute, Loramendi Abeyta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ibar Sanabre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Zosimo Ojero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Cordara Chavarria's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cesareo Barroiz was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Manu Suero kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. 87 minutes into the match, Itacora's goal looked a bit too open when Cordara Chavarria came free, but Cesareo Barroiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Yajhape booed when Itacora was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ibar Sanabre didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cesareo Barroiz came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Yajhape's Loramendi Abeyta. But to his dismay, Loramendi Abeyta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Zosimo Ojero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciano Costoya in the 96th minute of play. Itacora succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Yajhape had controlled the match.
