Leoiar Poncelas scored 1-2 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Frasco Mendiola, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Vitor Cothal was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 52nd minute. Mbocaya's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. A collision led to Guanes FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Meendez Murguiondo hit a great ball. Olentzaro Badas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mark Baraña, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 61st minute, Mark Baraña hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vitor Cothal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mark Baraña recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Frasco Mendiola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leoiar Poncelas, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. If Vitor Cothal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leoiar Poncelas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Frasco Mendiola having to make a save. Vitor Cothal struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Frasco Mendiola didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mbocaya. Mbocaya's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
