Donato Ribacoba recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cesario Martinez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Adrio Curueño tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Goyo Cachon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Venceslao Velarde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Socorro Azpilcueta hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. 30 minutes into the match, Pasto AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Tonete Trifol came free, but Adrio Curueño reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cesario Martinez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrio Curueño having to interfere. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Tonete Trifol sped through Pasto AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Adrio Curueño. Cesario Martinez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrio Curueño having to interfere. Pasto AFC's Adrio Curueño played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesario Martinez in the 43rd minute of play. In the 44th match minute, Pasto AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduino Concepcion to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Cebolla were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tonete Trifol stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tonete Trifol in the 54th minute of play forced Pasto AFC's goalkeeper Adrio Curueño to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Goyo Cachon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Venceslao Velarde having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Erlantz Posse ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Venceslao Velarde was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 66th match minute, Pasto AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pio Lamarta to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Cebolla's Tonete Trifol slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Adrio Curueño. That made the score 1-2 after 75 minutes of play. If Tonete Trifol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Pasto AFC booed when Cebolla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harriet Ovejas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85th minute of the match Pio Lamarta shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Venceslao Velarde showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Cebolla eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
