The referee ignored LA GALAXY's protests and gave Xeromo Villerias a yellow card for diving instead. Xeromo Villerias kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. 4 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Piron FC's Beti Celerain fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. If Beti Celerain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baldovino Montane stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Garaile Alcolea's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. Teofilio Juarez made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Orlando Angostina sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elivareo Vincens during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 12th minute, Elivareo Vincens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 13 minutes into the match, LA GALAXY's Senon Irala broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 19 minutes into the game, Beti Celerain cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Baldovino Montane was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the LA GALAXY defense, Beti Celerain kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Baldovino Montane. The LA GALAXY fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Baldovino Montane should have stopped the shot. If Buinton Runs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teofilio Juarez made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Orlando Angostina sent off a good shot on target. After 31 minutes LA GALAXY's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Leandro Bolaño who took care of the corner kick. In the 35th minute of the match Leandro Bolaño shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Baldovino Montane showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Baldovino Montane showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Garaile Alcolea, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After a rather tough play, LA GALAXY's Burni Diana got a free kick in the 38th minute. The supporters of LA GALAXY booed when Piron FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elivareo Vincens didn't get a good kick on the ball. Baldovino Montane didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Beti Celerain went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Buinton Runs made a kick off. In the 54th minute, LA GALAXY's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Garaile Alcolea fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Admon Pares hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. LA GALAXY's Baldovino Montane played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beti Celerain in the 60th minute of play. Elivareo Vincens hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Orlando Angostina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teofilio Juarez having to interfere. After having played for 73 minutes, Buinton Runs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LA GALAXY's supporters crossed their fingers, but Buinton Runs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Baldovino Montane took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Beti Celerain, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 81 played minutes, LA GALAXY's Goyo Tubia shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Teofilio Juarez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in LA GALAXY reached it. The audience was convinced that Orlando Angostina's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Teofilio Juarez was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. Teofilio Juarez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Buinton Runs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Orlando Angostina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Teofilio Juarez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Piron FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
