Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Thanks to some nice moves Xayvion Encalada could shoot a difficult shot in the 4th minute, which Chico Grados however easily saved by the left post. 12 minutes into the game, Reynaldo Villafañe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Curupayty FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fassardi the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Curupayty FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 11th minute. Penalty! After a defensive mix-up in Fassardi's zone, Leizarraga Gaviria stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chico Grados came out of the goal and Leizarraga Gaviria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Curupayty FC's Ximen Cuba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danilo Periquet in the 25th minute of play. Lamberto Guinea charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lamberto Guinea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lamberto Guinea hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After having played for 31 minutes, Leizarraga Gaviria managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Curupayty FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leizarraga Gaviria was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 35 played minutes Fassardi got a freekick which was hit by Lamberto Guinea. A collision led to Fassardi getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Danilo Periquet hit a great ball. Ximen Cuba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danilo Periquet, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Fassardi's Danilo Periquet got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Crispo Cantiello struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Chico Grados didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Curupayty FC. 59 minutes into the game, Zacarias Mareide cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Ximen Cuba was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fassardi's Chico Grados played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leizarraga Gaviria in the 64th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Fassardi's goal looked a bit too open when Leizarraga Gaviria came free, but Chico Grados reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st minute, Afonso Montoto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot 77 in the game by Zacarias Mareide from a close distance when the talented Ximen Cuba managed to make a qualified save. Curupayty FC's players were relieved. After 78 played minutes Curupayty FC got a freekick which was hit by Zoil Setien. Zacarias Mareide recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Crispo Cantiello kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute, Lamberto Guinea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Leizarraga Gaviria managed to get in a good position for a shot. Curupayty FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Leizarraga Gaviria was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chico Grados breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Fassardi getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Danilo Periquet hit a great ball. Leizarraga Gaviria took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Chico Grados. Chico Grados dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Frantzes Obarenes hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Curupayty FC's Afonso Montoto got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Fassardi supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Fassardi would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
