After 29 played minutes, Monges's Irrintzi Maestro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Etxahun Albornoz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Monges reached it. When Viator Salado fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Natalio's protests and gave Viator Salado a yellow card for diving instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Frans Estela managed to get in a good position for a shot. Monges's supporters rose to their feet, but Frans Estela was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Etxahun Albornoz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Natalio's zone, Bladi Lorenzo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Etxahun Albornoz came out of the goal and Bladi Lorenzo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bladi Lorenzo in the 39th minute of play forced Natalio's goalkeeper Etxahun Albornoz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Frans Estela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Etxahun Albornoz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frans Estela, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. The supporters of Monges booed when Natalio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viator Salado didn't get a good kick on the ball.
