Pilcomayo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Desmochados FC the free kick. 12 minutes into the match, Pilcomayo's Lorien Barja sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Teodosio Hoa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 13th match minute, Pilcomayo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leandro Tobalina to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Desmochados FC booed when Pilcomayo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Batista Calviño didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernaldo Urraburu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mateo Estua having to make a save. With a little luck, Pilcomayo's Mateo Estua got control of the ball when Tiniebra Brau tried to sneak it across the goal line. Teodosio Hoa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lorien Barja, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Severo Palomeque in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mateo Estua prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 40 played minutes Pilcomayo got a freekick which was hit by Saul Rubian. The crowd rose to their feet as Severo Palomeque kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mateo Estua. That made the score 1-0 in the 49 minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cordearo Zulaica to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cordearo Zulaica in the 56th minute of play forced Desmochados FC's goalkeeper Teodosio Hoa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pilcomayo's goalkeeper Mateo Estua, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 61st match minute, Pilcomayo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Piorno Aranzabal to maneuver through the defense. Pilcomayo's Lorien Barja got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Cordearo Zulaica came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Pilcomayo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cordearo Zulaica couldn't finish the play. Dantel Molfi kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Severo Palomeque fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mateo Estua having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Lorien Barja managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pilcomayo's supporters rose to their feet, but Lorien Barja was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teodosio Hoa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Cordearo Zulaica came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Pilcomayo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cordearo Zulaica couldn't finish the play. Pilcomayo's Cordearo Zulaica got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lorien Barja sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pilcomayo's Mateo Estua played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severo Palomeque in the 85th minute of play. Tiniebra Brau might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mateo Estua. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tiniebra Brau ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 91st minute, Cordearo Zulaica fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Teodosio Hoa, passed just outside the right post. Desmochados FC's Teodosio Hoa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Desmochados FC from getting a goal against them. Roque Pamo's late challenge caught a Pilcomayo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roque Pamo helped the player get up and apologised. Roque Pamo hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Sebastian Lombraña was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 99 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 98th minute of the game. One of Pilcomayo:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Desmochados FC:s goal. Desmochados FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Pilcomayo for a fine match.
