Pedro Zarzosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruperto Piña, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Ruperto Piña received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Pedro Zarzosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Itapiru AFC's Ruperto Piña got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Ortle Mayre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Enaut Oquendo might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Henrico Fresnedo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Enaut Oquendo ran back to his position shaking his head. Henrico Fresnedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enaut Oquendo in the 18th minute of the match. The audience held their breath when Bartoli Filare in the 22nd minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Henrico Fresnedo's left hand side. Enaut Oquendo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Henrico Fresnedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Henrico Fresnedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hohenau. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Iago Macua managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hohenau's supporters rose to their feet, but Iago Macua was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henrico Fresnedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Iago Macua recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 43rd minute, Enaut Oquendo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Henrico Fresnedo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After having played for 47 minutes, Enaut Oquendo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hohenau's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enaut Oquendo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Enaut Oquendo made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Itapiru AFC's zone, Enaut Oquendo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henrico Fresnedo came out of the goal and Enaut Oquendo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ruperto Piña received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Pedro Zarzosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Henrico Fresnedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Enaut Oquendo's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Ruperto Piña fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Zarzosa having to interfere. Iago Macua fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrico Fresnedo having to interfere. In the 72ndth minute of the game Enaut Oquendo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Itapiru AFC's Henrico Fresnedo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ruperto Piña received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Pedro Zarzosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Hohenau walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
