Acahai's Nalo Carro got a good chance for a goal in the 2nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Harriet Cunyat stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nalo Carro's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. If Telesforo Estramiana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Telesforo Estramiana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 10 minutes, Joselito Bildosteguy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mercedes AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joselito Bildosteguy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 14th match minute, Acahai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ellande Guardo to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nalo Carro in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Harriet Cunyat saved Mercedes AFC from getting behind. Mercedes AFC's Harriet Cunyat proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Mercedes AFC from getting a goal against them. If Nalo Carro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mercedes AFC's Harriet Cunyat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nalo Carro in the 29th minute of play. If Telesforo Estramiana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Joselito Bildosteguy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mercedes AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Joselito Bildosteguy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valdo Herruz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Valdo Herruz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Azibar Andonaegui's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. In the 44th of the match, Nalo Carro tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Harriet Cunyat got in the way and made a wonderful save. In a very dangerous position, a player in Acahai fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 45th minute. Penalty! Odilon Gene walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 59th minute of the match Odilon Gene shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Valdo Herruz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Azibar Andonaegui received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Valdo Herruz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mercedes AFC's Harriet Cunyat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nalo Carro in the 63rd minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Azibar Andonaegui dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Valdo Herruz, 0-1. In the 78th minute Azibar Andonaegui shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdo Herruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Acahai's Valdo Herruz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Azibar Andonaegui in the 82nd minute of play. After 84 played minutes Azibar Andonaegui rounded Acahai's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-2. Rocendo Irala received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Harriet Cunyat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Harriet Cunyat came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Acahai's Nalo Carro. But to his dismay, Nalo Carro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The Mercedes AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mercedes AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
