Pizarrete CD's Raul Padilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charlie Banister in the 36th minute of play. Gabriel Boyd could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Raul Padilla made a huge save. Benigno Vera kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Carmelo Espinal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeremias Bermúdez in the 42nd minute of the match. Carmelo Espinal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremias Bermúdez in the 44th minute of play. Enrique Rivero hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Amancio Valdivia to make the kick off. Jeremias Bermúdez scored 1-1 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Carmelo Espinal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A hard shot by Epifanio Brizuela from long distance, 62 minutes into the match, got Carmelo Espinal's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Amancio Valdivia received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Carmelo Espinal came out and tried to block the shot, but Amancio Valdivia slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 64th minute. Amancio Valdivia might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carmelo Espinal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Amancio Valdivia ran back to his position shaking his head. Gabriel Boyd blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Raul Padilla having to make a save. After 90 minutes of play, Pedernales's Charlie Banister made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Raul Padilla was left in no man's land by his defense there! The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Pizarrete CD walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
