An unexpected shot in the 44th minute by Roberto Benavides got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Celino Castells was out of position in the 48 minute of play, and Daniel Palacios capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Daniel Palacios really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Valentin Webermann got free with Ruben Ureña in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Franquelis Macedo's late challenge caught a Club Atletico Virreyes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
