Lucio Crispín started the match with the kick off. Enrique Guilléns short, quick shot in the 5thth minute got Jules Torres to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 7th minute, Enrique Guillén got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Villa Mella CF's Gervasio Pedraza got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Enrique Guillén might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jules Torres. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Enrique Guillén ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Enrique Guillén got free with Jules Torres in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Villa Mella CF's Enrique Guillén slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jules Torres. That made the score 1-0 after 18 minutes of play. Villa Mella CF's Gervasio Pedraza got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lucio Crispín recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kelvin Badía showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henry Nava in the 28th minute of the match. When Villa Mella CF's Gervasio Pedraza in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Atlético Santiago's goalie prevented a goal. In the 39th match minute, Atlético Santiago was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonzalo Barrera to maneuver through the defense. After 42 minutes, Gonzalo Barrera mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atlético Santiago and the Villa Mella CF players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 43 played minutes Atlético Santiago got a freekick which was hit by Gonzalo Barrera. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Enrique Guillén made the kick off in the second half. Enrique Guillén sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Fabricio Riojas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had been going on for 65 minutes, Atlético Santiago's Amando Cervantes got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Kelvin Badía. Henry Nava could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Kelvin Badía made a huge save. Through an outstanding action, after 73 minutes, Kelvin Badía successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Atlético Santiago's Jules Torres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Guillén in the 75th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Enrique Guillén managed to get in a good position for a shot. Villa Mella CF's supporters rose to their feet, but Enrique Guillén was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jules Torres breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ramón Santana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Enrique Guillén sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Henry Nava sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 92nd minute, Henry Nava got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kelvin Badía took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucio Crispín, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Villa Mella CF fully deserved thier win.
