Arthur Friedman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Quilvio Corral's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Quilvio Corral in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arthur Friedman saved Salcedo from getting behind. After 17 played minutes Salcedo got a freekick which was hit by Leonidas Ojeda. Marcelo Armstrong fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonzalo Rosales having to interfere. Pablo Pacheco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Salcedo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 30th minute, when Ceferino Lozano scored to the left of an out of position Arthur Friedman, making the score, 1-1. 33 minutes into the match, Los Cacaos's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Armstrong came free, but Gonzalo Rosales reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Quilvio Corral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gonzalo Rosales made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelo Armstrong in the 48th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Pablo Pacheco made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Arismendy Solano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 54 minutes in the game, Marcelo Armstrong dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. After 59 minutes, Leonidas Ojeda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Salcedo and the Los Cacaos players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 59th minute, Zachary Albright sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Salcedo's Arthur Friedman didn't even have to move. Quilvio Corral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicolás Mercedes took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arthur Friedman. Arthur Friedman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. 78 minutes into the match, Los Cacaos's Quilvio Corral sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arthur Friedman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nicolás Mercedes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arthur Friedman having to interfere. Arthur Friedman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolás Mercedes in the 85th minute of the match. Hanley Seijas's late challenge caught a Los Cacaos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hanley Seijas helped the player get up and apologised. After recieving a nice pass, Los Cacaos's Zachary Albright tried to score from far away in the 97th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. There was no doubt that Los Cacaos were the better team. Los Cacaos's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
