Aramis Richardson started the match with the kick off. Pedro Brizuela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robert Villarreal having to interfere. Salcedo UC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anselmo Alcott was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 26th minute, Carlitos Macías hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Timothy Paré fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alonso Villamayor having to interfere. When Salcedo UC's Anselmo Alcott in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye La Vega FC's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Salcedo UC's Anselmo Alcott got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Aramis Richardson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Robert Villarreal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anselmo Alcott to strike the kick off in the second half. When Timothy Paré came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Salcedo UC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Timothy Paré couldn't finish the play. Pedro Brizuela blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Robert Villarreal having to make a save. If Pedro Brizuela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Salcedo UC's zone, Aramis Richardson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robert Villarreal came out of the goal and Aramis Richardson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When La Vega FC's Aramis Richardson in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Salcedo UC's goalie prevented a goal. If Timothy Paré had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Brizuela blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Robert Villarreal having to make a save. Timothy Paré succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-1 in the 66th playminute. Salcedo UC's Timothy Paré got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 72 minutes into the match, Timothy Paré notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of La Vega FC's Alonso Villamayor. Alonso Villamayor was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 76 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Salcedo UC! A collision led to Salcedo UC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Neifi Aranda hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aramis Richardson in the 80th minute of play forced Salcedo UC's goalkeeper Robert Villarreal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aramis Richardson scored 1-2 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Robert Villarreal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Carlitos Macías hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Robert Villarreal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aramis Richardson's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. The Salcedo UC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Salcedo UC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
