The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 minutes, Abd el Chebal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Thomson FC and the Apex players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hameur Belfaa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cheb Meniri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ahmed Sellal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Abdelaziz Ghazi made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cheb Meniri in the 9th minute of play forced Thomson FC's goalkeeper Hameur Belfaa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 11 played minutes Apex got a freekick which was hit by Abdelhamid Barbarossa. The audience was convinced that Fathi Fergani's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Abdelaziz Ghazi was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. If Abdelaziz Saïfi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th minute, Cheb Meniri ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hameur Belfaa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fathi Fergani in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abdelaziz Ghazi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Apex getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Faouzi Mammeri hit a great ball. If Ahmed Sellal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abdelaziz Ghazi made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Ahmed Sellal sent off a good shot on target. Mahmoud Djebbour kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Ahmed Sellal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdelaziz Ghazi having to interfere. Hameur Belfaa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cheb Meniri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Slimane Madouni's late challenge caught a Apex's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Slimane Madouni helped the player get up and apologised. In the 42nd match minute, Thomson FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Slimane Madouni to maneuver through the defense. In the 44thth minute of the game Cheb Meniri who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Thomson FC's Hameur Belfaa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fathi Fergani stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ahmed Sellal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdelaziz Ghazi having to interfere. Ahmed Sellal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Abdelaziz Ghazi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Apex's goalkeeper Abdelaziz Ghazi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 62nd minute, Abd el Chebal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 64 minutes of play, Thomson FC's Ahmed Sellal made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Abdelaziz Ghazi was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 71st minute, Ahmed Sellal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hameur Belfaa made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Cheb Meniri sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Thomson FC's Mohamed Saadane got a free kick in the 76th minute. Apex's Cheb Meniri got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fathi Fergani struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Abdelaziz Ghazi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Thomson FC. After 92 played minutes Apex got a freekick which was hit by Rachid Beloufa. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Apex walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
