An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferhat Mansouri in the 23rd minute of play forced Fenton's goalkeeper Abdulhamid Hadjadj to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rafik Saïdi-Sief's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Samir Zerara read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Rafik Saïdi-Sief scored 0-1 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Samir Zerara, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Khair ad-Din Hima charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Khair ad-Din Hima the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Khair ad-Din Hima hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. 44 minutes had been played when some careless play by Fenton's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Nordine Bouazza was slow to take the kick. During this time Eldorado FC's players had a chance to rest. The Eldorado FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fenton's goalkeeper Abdulhamid Hadjadj, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
