Reda Bensaïd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hameur Boulebda having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in New Castle's zone, Jean-Baptiste Bourebbou stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hameur Boulebda came out of the goal and Jean-Baptiste Bourebbou tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Jeannette AFC booed when New Castle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Youssef Meriem didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute of the match Jeannette AFC got a corner. New Castle's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tedj Saci ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Abdel Mesbah managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After 15 played minutes New Castle got a freekick which was hit by Abdelaziz Ziani. Jean-Baptiste Bourebbou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jean-Baptiste Bourebbou in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hameur Boulebda saved New Castle from getting behind. In the 27th match minute, New Castle was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rachid Messaoudi to maneuver through the defense. Madjid Adjani struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Abdel Larbi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for New Castle. The supporters of New Castle booed when Jeannette AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maamar Bouzid didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hameur Boulebda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jean-Baptiste Bourebbou in the 36th minute of the match. Jeannette AFC's Jean-Baptiste Bourebbou got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hameur Boulebda didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Reda Bensaïd went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Abdel Larbi made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Madjid Adjani sent off a good shot on target. After the first half Jeannette AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When Jean-Baptiste Bourebbou came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Jeannette AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jean-Baptiste Bourebbou couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Jeannette AFC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Amrani Amara hit a great ball. Jean-Baptiste Bourebbou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Hameur Boulebda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 73 played minutes Amrani Amara rounded New Castle's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-2. Hameur Boulebda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jean-Baptiste Bourebbou, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Madjid Adjani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdel Larbi having to interfere. Jeannette AFC played a much better game than New Castle and deserved their victory. The New Castle players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
