Abdelhamid Beloufa might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Farès Bouazza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abdelhamid Beloufa ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Hocine El-Hadi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fathi Guendouz was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. When Yacine Bouteflika fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stuarts Draft AFC's protests and gave Yacine Bouteflika a yellow card for diving instead. After 11 played minutes Stuarts Draft AFC got a freekick which was hit by Yacine Bouteflika. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Hocine El-Hadi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stuarts Draft AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hocine El-Hadi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fathi Guendouz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stuarts Draft AFC's Hocine El-Hadi got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Stuarts Draft AFC's Farès Bouazza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chadli Hadjar in the 30th minute of play. Palmetto's Karim Boutabout got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Liamine Souakri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fathi Guendouz having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in Palmetto fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 39th minute. Penalty! When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hocine El-Hadi was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute Liamine Souakri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fathi Guendouz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abd al-Asis Belloumi's late challenge caught a Stuarts Draft AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abd al-Asis Belloumi helped the player get up and apologised. Abd al-Asis Belloumi hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Hocine El-Hadi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Fathi Guendouz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 65 minutes into the match, Stuarts Draft AFC's goalkeeper Farès Bouazza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abdelhamid Beloufa. In the 67th minute, Hocine El-Hadi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Hocine El-Hadi managed to get in a good position for a shot. After a defensive mix-up in Palmetto's zone, Hocine El-Hadi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fathi Guendouz came out of the goal and Hocine El-Hadi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Abdelhamid Beloufa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Farès Bouazza. That made the score 2-2 in the 80 minute of play. If Liamine Souakri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Hocine El-Hadi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fathi Guendouz was relentless in the 91st minute of the game.
