He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Matamoras reached it. In the 14th minute, Cheikha Belmellat got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mohammad Reda Madouni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Noureddine Mimoun stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mohammad Reda Madouni's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. When Matamoras's Rachid Benzine in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bethel's goalie prevented a goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Mohammad Reda Madouni in the 51st minute of play forced Bethel's goalkeeper Noureddine Mimoun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rachid Benzine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Gilles Harkouk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 60 minutes, Rachid Benzine managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Matamoras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rachid Benzine was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mohammad Reda Madouni was extremely unlucky when he, in the 69th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 70 minutes into the game, one of Bethel:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The supporters of Matamoras booed when Bethel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mehdi Zitouni didn't get a good kick on the ball. Matamoras's Abdelhamid Haddadj couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 77th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Bethel. Bethel's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Mohammad Reda Madouni 78 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-2. The supporters of Matamoras booed when Bethel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Khalida Prévost didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Mohammad Reda Madouni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abdelaziz El-Kenz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilles Harkouk in the 88th minute of the match. When Mebarek Belfaa came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Matamoras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mebarek Belfaa couldn't finish the play. In the 97th minute, Rachid Benzine ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Noureddine Mimoun was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Matamoras played a much better game than Bethel and deserved their victory. The Bethel players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
