Sid Kensi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ben Chadl having to interfere. Kateb Belloumi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mehdi Matmour during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, West Sayville's Mehdi Matmour got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Mehdi Matmour got his second yellow card in the match during the 24th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 24th match minute, West Sayville was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mehdi Matmour to maneuver through the defense. Ben Chadl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sid Kensi in the 25th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sid Kensi in the 30th minute of play forced West Sayville's goalkeeper Ben Chadl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Abdelnasser Nekkar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. West Sayville's Karim Meriem got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sid Kensi took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ben Chadl. Ben Chadl dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kateb Belloumi was the one to do the kick off. If Karim Meriem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jussef Ben Mamouni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rabah Fellahi having to interfere. Rabah Fellahi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karim Meriem in the 60th minute of play. Karim Meriem took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rabah Fellahi. Rabah Fellahi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. A collision led to Red Lion FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Salah Hamid hit a great ball. After 82 played minutes West Sayville got a freekick which was hit by Abdelnasser Nekkar. Red Lion FC's Rabah Fellahi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karim Meriem in the 85th minute of play. If Karim Meriem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rabah Fellahi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdelnasser Nekkar in the 91st minute of play. When Ahmed Boutella fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Red Lion FC's protests and gave Ahmed Boutella a yellow card for diving instead. In the 95th minute, Ahmed Boutella hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Red Lion FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Red Lion FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
