The audience thought a goal was coming when Karim Meriem got free with Mahieddine Amrouche in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. West Sayville's Ben Chadl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tayeb Nabil in the 42nd minute of play. Hocine Kermali fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ben Chadl having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tayeb Nabil in the 47th minute of play forced West Sayville's goalkeeper Ben Chadl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Leland AFC's goalkeeper Mahieddine Amrouche, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 56th play minutes Tayeb Nabil shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Ben Chadl and just under the crossbar into goal. Mahieddine Amrouche made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rachid Baba Ali Boulebda in the 61st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Hocine Kermali's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ben Chadl was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in West Sayville's zone, Tayeb Nabil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ben Chadl came out of the goal and Tayeb Nabil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice moves Tayeb Nabil could shoot a difficult shot in the 72nd minute, which Ben Chadl however easily saved by the left post. 74 minutes into the match, Leland AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Karim Meriem came free, but Mahieddine Amrouche reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 74 minutes into the game, West Sayville's Karim Meriem nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mahieddine Amrouche made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 81st minute, Leland AFC's Mustapha Dib dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Leland AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
